A well-planned child care environment helps promote a child’s inquisitive nature and approach to the learning process. From the size and atmosphere of the rooms to a low student-to-teacher ratio, each classroom is specifically designed to provide a warm, intimate and secure environment for children to learn, explore and grow at their own pace.

Program Description

Children of Hope participates  in Washington's Early Achievers, which is Washington's Quality Rating and Improvement System. Early Achievers is a voluntary program that empowers providers and educators with coaching and resources to support each child's learning and development so they can obtain the skills they need to be successful in school and in life.

Here at the Children of Hope...

Children are offered many areas of interest to learn and discover, such as learning colors, the alphabet and shapes.

Children work on social skills, self-help skills, large and small muscle coordination.

Children learn math concepts such as size, weight, direction, quantity, matching, classifying, number concepts, counting and identifying.

Children are offered creative activities using paint, clay, crayon, felt, pen, paper, scissors, glue and other materials.

Children learn about themselves and their relation to the world around them through play alone and play with peers.

Children learn to make choices and learn to be responsible for their actions.

Children learn to problem solve, take care of their bodies, and be part of a group.

Children are offered individual learning plans to help each child reach goals and objectives specific to that child.
